3 days after a 27-year-old man succumbed to burn injuries at the RML hospital, a 24-year-old woman, who set herself on fire along with the man outside the Supreme Court on August 16 over alleged harassment related to a rape complaint she filed against an MP, too died at the hospital on Tuesday morning.

According to Police, the girl hails from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh and was allegedly raped by Bahujan Samaj Party MP Atul Rai in 2019.

The National Commission for Women on Tuesday took cognisance of a woman, who set herself ablaze before the Supreme Court, alleging that she had lodged a rape case against MP Atul Rai, but the Uttar Pradesh Police, instead of helping her, issued a non-bailable warrant against her.

New Delhi (ILNS): The 15-year-old rape victim, who had allegedly attempted self-immolation in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, has succumbed to her injuries in a hospital in Delhi.
