The High Court of Madras on Friday directed the Tamil Nadu police to grant permission to the proposed statewide march and public meeting by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the state.

Supreme Court bench passed the order on a special leave petition filed by the Tamil Nadu government, through the state’s Director General of Police (DGP), challenging the order of the Madras High Court (Madurai Bench) transferring the case from local police to the CBI.

The Tamil Nadu police has registered a case against an unidentified Twitter user for attempting to cause unrest among the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The twitter handle is @RSS_FORINDIA was trying to imitate a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
