The case is on 2013, when a female colleague alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Tejpal in an elevator of a five-star Goa hotel. Goa police had registered an FIR for various offences including rape. His arrest was in November 2013 and release on bail in July 2014.

A Sessions Court in Goa on Friday acquitted Tarun Tejpal, former Tehelka editor-in-chief, of all charges in of sexual assault and rape of a junior colleague.

A Sessions Court in Goa on Wednesday adjourned the sexual harassment case against former Tehelka Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal till May 21.

Tejpal was granted interim bail on May 19, 2014 to attend the cremation of his mother and since then, had been out of jail. In July 2014, Tejpal was granted bail.

The Supreme Court today adjourned till the first week of November, a 2009 contempt case against Senior Advocate Prashant Bhushan and Tarun Tejpal for allegedly casting aspersions on some sitting and former top court judges in an interview to the news magazine Tehelka.
