{"id":111929,"date":"2020-09-02T19:22:25","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T13:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/?p=111929"},"modified":"2020-09-02T19:22:26","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T13:52:26","slug":"union-govt-plans-shift-to-purely-digital-calendars-diaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/top-news-of-the-day\/news\/union-govt-plans-shift-to-purely-digital-calendars-diaries\/","title":{"rendered":"Union govt plans shift to purely digital calendars, diaries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>New Delhi: The Central Government has asked all ministries and departments to stop printing wall calendars, desktop calendars, diaries and greeting cards in their physical forms in a bid to encourage usage of the digital format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Finance said, \u201cthe Government of India has decided that there will be no further activities towards printing wall calendars, desktop calendars, diaries, festival greeting cards and similar materials by all Ministries\/ Departments\/ Autonomous Bodies and other organs of the Government&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All such activities including materials which were earlier printed in physical format shall be done digitally online, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has also banned the printing of Coffee Table Books and appropriate use of E-Books is encouraged.
