In the case of the gang-rape of a law student, the Karnataka High Court upheld life sentence for 7 convicts, said this is no less than Nirbhaya case, recommends death penalty for gang-rape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another case, the Karnataka High Court granted bail to the sitting MLA&#8217;s nephew whose Facebook post had sparked the Bangalore riots. The petitioner contended that he had merely forwarded the post and later withdrew the same.
