The Bombay High Court<\/a> said on Monday that the Maharashtra government has the responsibility of providing special online education for disabled children in the state and Doordarshan can be used for this.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice G.S. Kulkarni was hearing a public interest litigation filed by NGO Anamapreem, expressing concern over the problems faced by differently abled children during the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petitioner’s lawyer Udaya Varunjikar submitted that due to many problems such as lack of staff or lack of mobile facilities, the disabled students are not able to get their education during this epidemic. Local government channels and radio could be used to provide education to such students, Varunjikar suggested to the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice Dutta said, “Find a solution.\u00a0 It is the responsibility of the state government.\u00a0 You can take one- or two-hour slots on Doordarshan and show special learning programs.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
