The Central government has informed the Delhi High Court <\/a>that it has not issued any guidelines with regard to one person wearing a mask while driving alone in a car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The affidavit has been filed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stating that the public health and hospital is the primary and exclusive responsibility of each state. The Central government further informed the bench that in collaboration with the states, they have taken, and are taking all possible measures to tackle this infection to the best of abilities in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“That public health and hospitals is a state subject being placed in Entry 6 of the List II of Seventh Schedule of the Constitution of India which reads as “Public health and sanitation; hospitals and dispensaries\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

the affidavit stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the affidavit, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has further requested the bench that they may be deleted from the array of parties stating that the health is a state subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
