The National Green Tribunal has directed the Monitoring Committee set up by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) to look into the death of an elephant by electrocution and to protect the lives of 40 elephants in Madhya Pradesh’s Bandhavgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A bench comprising Justices Adarsh Kumar Goel, Sheo Kumar Singh and Expert Member Nagin Nanda passed the order on a plea seeking to fix accountability for the death of an elephant by electrocution and to protect the lives of 40 elephants in
Bandhavgarh, MP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“\u2026we direct Central Monitoring Committee constituted by the MoEF&CC and the Chief Wildlife Warden, MP to look into the grievance in the present application and take remedial action in accordance with the law,” <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
