{"id":157040,"date":"2021-04-17T15:40:12","date_gmt":"2021-04-17T10:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/?p=157040"},"modified":"2021-04-17T16:27:07","modified_gmt":"2021-04-17T10:57:07","slug":"pil-supreme-court-kumbh-gathering-enforcing-covid-guidelines-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/top-news-of-the-day\/news\/pil-supreme-court-kumbh-gathering-enforcing-covid-guidelines-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"PIL in Supreme Court seeks clearance of Kumbh gathering, enforcing Covid guidelines in elections"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A PIL has been filed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/constitutional-law-news\/supreme-court-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a> seeking a direction to clear the mass gathering from Kumbh, Haridwar, and strictly enforce Covid-19 guidelines in the states where elections are being held and take legal action against the violators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The petition has been filed by Advocate Sanjai Kumar Pathak alleging,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large td_quote_box td_box_center\" style=\"margin-top:-19px\"><p><span style=\"color:#dd3333\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> \u201cThe authorities are not only permitting but facilitating and promoting congregation of people in the events like Kumbh-2021 and Election rallies.
