{"id":166029,"date":"2021-05-13T12:09:39","date_gmt":"2021-05-13T06:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/?p=166029"},"modified":"2021-11-18T17:46:09","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T12:16:09","slug":"hearing-central-vista-project-adjourned-may-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/top-news-of-the-day\/news\/hearing-central-vista-project-adjourned-may-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearing in Central Vista Project adjourned again, postponed to May 17"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The hearing on a petition seeking a stay on the \u2018Central Vista Redevelopment Project\u2019 during the Covid-19 pandemic was adjourned, as the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/topic\/delhi-high-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delhi High Court <\/a><\/strong>Bench did not assemble today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi High Court Bench, headed by Chief Justice DN Patel, did not assemble yesterday also, when the matter was scheduled to be heard. The petition will now be heard on May 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The petition was filed in the Delhi High Court by Anya Malhotra and Sohail Hashmi through Advocates Gautam Khazanchi and Pradyuman Kaistha. It sought interim relief of halt on work of the Project, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Union of India had, on May 11, filed a reply in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/topic\/delhi-high-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delhi High Court<\/a><\/strong> to the petition, calling it an abuse of the process of law and another attempt to stall the project and sought dismissal of the plea with cost.
