Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice J.B. Pardiwala were sworn in as Supreme Court<\/a> judges today in a swearing-in ceremony that took place today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chief Justice of India Justice N.V. Ramana administered the oath of office to the new judges in the auditorium of the Court’s Additional Building Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new judges will now be part of the Supreme Court<\/a> strength that has become 34 judges. They will take charge from today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On May 7, the Centre notified the appointment of Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and judge from Gujarat High Court<\/a> Jamshed Burjor Pardiwala as Supreme Court judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Supreme Court Collegium on May 5, 2022 had recommended the elevation of Justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and Jamshed Burjor Pardiwala as Supreme Court judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
