The Calcutta High Court has disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) raising the grievance that though the respondent authority has not completed the syllabus and not given the preparatory break, it has declared the examination in various departments of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PIL has been filed by Rishavjit Thakur and others. At this stage, a limited submission has been made by counsel for petitioners that the petitioners be allowed to submitted a detailed representation raising the grievance before the Controller of Examination, Kazi Nazrul University (respondent No.8) and a direction be issued to consider the petitioners\u2019 representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The counsel for the State does not dispute such submission. Similar directions have been issued in another case also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hence, the Division Bench of Chief Justice Prakash Shrivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj disposed of the PIL permitting the petitioners to file an appropriate representation raising the grievance before respondent No.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn receipt of the said representation, respondent No.8 will duly consider the grievance of the petitioners and will take a decision in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a week from the date of receipt of the representation,\u201d the order reads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
