The Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging that health services have been affected due to doctors, who have been transferred, not joining duties at relevant places.

The PIL has been filed by one Sunil Kumar Singh.

While considering the petition, the Jaipur Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice Vinod Kumar Bharwani held that even according to the petitioner’s own showing, a number of petitions have been filed in the Court and those who have been adversely affected have approached the Court.

“In that view of the matter, in the garb of PIL, the service disputes cannot be entertained,” observed the High Court.

The petition is misconceived and was therefore dismissed by the Court.
