An interim order was passed by the High Court of Delhi on Tuesday, which has restrained the former Indian National Hockey women\u2019s team coach Sjoerd Marijne and the publication house HarperCollins India from getting a book published about the players of Indian team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Book in question contains the information and life of the famous Indian women players which are confidential in nature and about their personal life which they would not want to publish or make public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Single judge bench Amit Bansal\u00a0has passed the order on a suit which was filed by Hockey India alleging that the agreement of confidentiality which was signed by the coach Marijne about not disclosing any personal details of the players of Hockey India and this act is a breech to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The book named Will Power: The Inside Story of the Incredible Turnaround in Indian Women\u2019s Hockey by Marijne has been mired in controversies as the Delhi High Court had already passed orders restraining him from publishing information in relation to women\u2019s hockey player\u00a0 namely Gurjit Kaur\u00a0and Indian men\u2019s hockey captain\u00a0Manpreet Singh<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Court in its order said that a prima facie case is made out in favour of the plaintiff. In the opinion of court \u00a0and based on the confidentiality clause it is clear that there has been a \u00a0breached by Defendant No. 2 (Marijne) by seeking to public the aforesaid information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0The Court has further mentioned that there can be \u00a0grave harm and irreparable injury that can be \u00a0caused to the concerned player if the information is allowed to come in public domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not only this, the \u00a0Court has also passed an order which refrains the coach Marijne from using two pictures over which Hockey India holds copyright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the further hearing in the case the Court has listed all cases relating to the book to be heard on \u00a0November 18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
