{"id":293613,"date":"2022-12-03T10:45:26","date_gmt":"2022-12-03T05:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/?p=293613"},"modified":"2022-12-03T10:46:33","modified_gmt":"2022-12-03T05:16:33","slug":"posting-members-nclt-notified-central-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indialegallive.com\/top-news-of-the-day\/news\/posting-members-nclt-notified-central-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Posting of five Judicial Members, five Technical Members of NCLT notified by Central Government"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Central government has informed about the posting of five judicial members and five technical members of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A notification was issued on December 2 by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, which informed about the posting of five judicial members <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Justice (Retd)&nbsp;T Krishna Valli&nbsp;&#8211; Bengaluru;<\/li><li>Kuldip Kumar Kareer&nbsp;&#8211; Mumbai;<\/li><li>Ashok Kumar Bhardwaj&nbsp;-Delhi;<\/li><li>Praveen Gupta&nbsp;&#8211; Allahabad;<\/li><li>Bidisha Banerjee&nbsp;&#8211; Kolkata.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The notification also mentioned posting of   five technical members also. The names of the technical officers include <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Prabhat Kumar&nbsp;&#8211; Mumbai;<\/li><li>Charan Singh&nbsp;&#8211; Hyderabad;<\/li><li>Anu Jagmohan Singh&nbsp;&#8211; Mumbai;<\/li><li>Ashish Verma&nbsp;&#8211; Allahabad;<\/li><li>Atul Chaturvedi&nbsp;&#8211; Delhi.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central government had appointed nine judicial members and six technical members including the above persons to NCLT on November 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, there are sixteen benches of the NCLT all over India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been seen that the issue of appointments to tribunals has been a litigious matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Way back in August 2020, the Supreme Court had&nbsp;questioned the Central government over the delays in filling up these vacancies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Court was approached by the National Company Law Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal Bar Association last year for filling up of NCLT and NCLAT vacancies without delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September last year, the Court had said that the Centre was &#8220;emasculating<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.barandbench.com\/news\/litigation\/tribunals-not-filling-vacancies-supreme-court-central-government\" target=\"_blank\">&nbsp;<\/a>tribunals&nbsp;by not filling vacancies&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central government has informed about the posting of five judicial members and five technical members of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
