Varanasi Literary Festival, the annual fest organised in the historic city of Benaras, felicitated\u00a0Senior Advocate and Vice-President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Pradeep Rai, for his immense\u00a0contribution in the legal sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organised by the Nav Bharat Nirman Samiti in one of the holiest city of the country, also known by the name of Kashi, the two-day event, held on February 11 and 12, honoured people from different walks of life, who made extensive contribution in diverse fields, such as education, literature, art & culture, journalism, and justice delivery system.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, the SCBA Vice-President highlighted the crucial role played by Kashi in terms of literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said Kashi has been a hub of literature, which\u00a0gave birth to eminent personalities, such as Bharatendu Harishchandra and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The legal luminary stressed on taking steps\u00a0to preserve the rich legacy of Kashi, which had always been known as the foundation stone of literature.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\u00a0Editorial Advisor of APN said that Varanasi commanded respect and it was unfair not to give credit to the city, which has remained a cultural\u00a0hub for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The holy city of Benaras gave India its first judge of the High Court, Justice Mehboob, son of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, noted Rai.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
