Chandrachud and Justice P.S. Narasimha passed the order on a petition filed by Radhakanta Tripathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The petitioner-in-person contended that there were three vacancies in the Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Judicial Member, who has to be a Judge or a former Judge of the Supreme Court;<\/li><li>Judicial Member, who is or was a Chief Justice of the High Court; and<\/li><li>A woman member.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The petition further said the existing seats had fallen vacant on September 11, 2021; January 4, 2023 and April 4, 2022, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Apex Court sought response on the notice in three weeks.
