The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended three judicial officers for appointment as the Bombay High Court judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The names of the judicial officers recommended by the Collegium include Shyam Chhaganlal Chandak,Abhay Jainarayanji Mantri,\u00a0S\u00a0and\u00a0Neeraj Pradeep Dhote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme Court Collegium comprising Chief Justice of India\u00a0Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, Justice\u00a0Sanjay Kishan Kaul\u00a0and Justice\u00a0Sanjiv Khanna\u00a0on October 10 passed a resolution to that effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bombay High Court Collegium had reommended these names on June 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme Court Collegium noted that two of the officers had previously been overlooked for appointment as judges of the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Coolegium and consultee-judges found the two officers earlier overlooked as fit and suitable, and thus the recommendation followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Collegium resolution said that their inter se seniority be fixed as per the existing practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme Court Collegium noted that it was conscious of the fact that certain senior judicial officers were overlooked by the High Court Collegium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme Court said that they had gone through the Minutes of the High Court Collegium and were in agreement with the justification given by the High Court Collegium for not recommending their names.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
