A bench Comprising of the Chief Justice of India (CJI)\u00a0DY Chandrachud\u00a0, Justice\u00a0JB Pardiwala\u00a0and\u00a0Justice Manoj Misra\u00a0 asked the need for the disclosure of disability status in nomination forms and the purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Court questioned as to why should there be a disclosure that a person is disabled in the nomination form?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Court held that since the matter pertained with policy decision, the court intervention would not be a good idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Petition that was filed by Jayant Raghav was dismissed on the above ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
