The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended eleven additional judges of the Bombay High Court to be made permanent judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The name of the eleven judges are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud passed a resolution to that effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the resolution, the Bombay High Court Collegium had also unanimously recommended these 11 judges to be made permanent on December 14, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The above recommendation was concurred by the he Chief Ministers and the Governors of the States of Maharashtra and Goa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about Justice Joshi-Phalke and Justice Deshpande, they were notified as additional judges by the Central government on\u00a0June 3, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other 9 were notified as additional judges by the Central government on\u00a0July 16, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bombay High Court strength of 40 permanent judges and 28 additional judges at present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
