Justice A K Pathak of the Delhi High Court on Thursday (May 31) granted interim protection from arrest to former finance minister P Chidambaram in the allaged INX Media scam. This protection from arrest from the CBI is till July 3.
Yesterday Chidambaram had moved court seeking anticipatory bail. The matter pertains to grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance to firm Global Communication Holding Services Ltd. for investment in Aircel by P Chidambaram during his tenure as the finance minister in the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government.
