Provide impartial hearing to all persons who wish to get themselves enrolled in NRC process: SC to NRC co-ordinator

The Supreme Court on Thursday told NRC (National Register of Citizens) Co-ordinator Parteek Hajela to give an impartial hearing to all the persons who desire to get themselves registered in the NRC process.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Aniruddha Bose gave the directions after perusing the report on NRC submitted by Hajela today.

The bench also cited various media reports claiming that the hearings were not being conducted properly

The bench was hearing a plea related to the preparation of the final draft National Register of Citizens.
