The Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra on Thursday (February 1) unveiled roster for Judges in the Supreme Court. The roster (see below) which will take effect from February 5, 2018 has been uploaded on the Supreme Court.

In the roster, CJI has kept the matters such as Letter petition and PIL, Election, Arbitration, Contempt of Court, Habeas Corpus apart from matters related to administration to himself.

Justice J Chelemeswar will be hearing matters related to labour, indirect, land acquisition, simple money and mortgage etc.

Justice Ranjan Gogoi who is next in line to become next CJI will be handing matters such as labour, indirect, contempt and mercantile etc.

For Justice Madan B Lokur, the CJI has kept matters such as ecological imbalance, ordinary civil etc apart from land acquisition.

Justice Kurian Joseph will be adjudicating matters such as Labour, Rent Act, service, family law etc.
