Allahabad HC seeks response from Prayagraj Authority, Railways on road below Rambagh crossing

The Court also sought an Affidavit on compliance with the order

The Allahabad High Court has sought information from the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA ) and the North Eastern Railway regarding the construction of a road below the Rambagh railway crossing in Prayagraj. A contempt petition has been filed in the High Court regarding this.

A single-judge bench of Justice Sunit Kumar passed this order while hearing a contempt petition filed by Bharat Lal Anuragi. The Court has directed that it be provided information by February 12.

The petition said that on April 5, 2019, the High Court directed the PDA and North East Railway officials to repair three roads under the Road Over Bridges (ROB). The Court also sought an Affidavit on compliance with the order. But even after almost two years, the road has not been constructed. This causes a lot of difficulties for people to come from under the bridge. Some government offices and government inter-colleges also fall on the route.
