The SC bench of CJI JS Khehar and Justices N.V. Ramana, Y. Chandrachud and Sanjay Kishan Kaul on February 17 dismissed a petition seeking the writ of Certiorari to quash the regulation No. 7 of the UGC regarding minimum qualification for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges.

The matter was dismissed because the same issue is there in another petition.
