The Delhi High Court was hearing a plea filed by the Delhi Prosecutors Welfare Association, seeking the appointment of Additional Public Prosecutors in the fast-track special courts functioning in the capital for the trial of cases relating to Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) and rape.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought response from the Delhi goverment over a petition for creation of Additional Public Prosecutors for the purposes of conducting trials in the Fast Track Special Courts.
