Allahabad High Court said that, if the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate is not in agreement with the protest application lodged by the complainant, the proper action needed on the part of the court was to read the protest petition as complaint.

A single Punjab and Haryana High Court bench of Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi passed the order to grant protection to a 21 year old girl and 19 year old boy while hearing a Criminal Writ Petition filed by Pushpa Devi and Another.
