The Delhi High Court has asked the Bar Council of India (BCI) to place on record ‘basis of its decision’ were in it had decided that 0.5% marks and above in a qualifying examination can be rounded off to 1%.

The BCI through informed that the founder of KIIT and KISS Deemed to be University, Dr. Achyuta Samanta has accepted the proposal of BCI to establish Indian Institute of Law and has provided a piece of land through his Trust at Bhubaneswar for its establishment.

The petition stated that one of the main features of one-year LL.M program is the establishment of a Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies by the university/college mandated by the UGC which will have a dedicated team of senior teachers competent to guide post-graduate scholars including Ph.D.
