On January 22, 2021, the prolonged dialogue between agitating farmers’ associations and the ostensibly patient government ended in a stalemate. Or is it a checkmate?

The Bharatiya Kisan Union Block unit, Tianthar, District Rewa, adopted the path of agitation. Despite this, the payment was absent and one day the information of the loss of paddy was taken away as a result hard-earned money of the farmers was grabbed.

The Court said it’s a matter of national importance as such issue needs to be resolved through negotiations. The Court said there will be a need to form a committee including Bharatiya Kisan Union, farmers organisations from across India and government representatives to negotiate a solution.
