The Bombay High Court has observed that touching private parts of a minor and kissing on lips do not amount to unnatural offence under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.
Narrating the day's events, she said her husband asked her to lend money to buy alcohol and she refused. Due to this, the husband started assaulting his wife and when she went to sleep, the husband poured kerosene all over her and set her ablaze. The victim succumbed to burn injuries on 23/11/2009.
According to the Goa division bench of Bombay High Court there is no point in keeping these two petitions pending any longer given the subsequent development in the form of Notification dated 27.04.2022.

Supreme Court bench has stayed the order of Bombay High Court which had directed Registrar, Judicial to pay the sum of Rs. 10 crores deposited by MSRDC to the MMSSM within two weeks from order dated 23.03.2022, & which shall be distributed to the members in the sum of Rs. 1 Lakh per family of fishermen.
