The Supreme Court on Friday refused to interfere with the proceedings going on against an officer of the Border Security Force (BSF), who was found in an inebriated condition during duty hours.

A two-judge Supreme Court bench declined to entertain PIL by giving direction to Mahabir Singh and other retired officers of Central Armed Police Force to approach concerned authority with regard to relief seeking in the Petition. 

The Delhi High Court on Thursday sought response from the Centre and the Border Security Force on a plea alleging arbitrariness in the procedure for deciding inter-se seniority for personnel working in BSF.

Allahabad High Court while hearing a Criminal Misc Writ Petition sought the response of the Central Government on a plea seeking a CBI inquiry into the bullet injury death of Krishna Murari Mishra, Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Border Security Force posted on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The plea in Supreme Court submitted that respondents have wilfully denied compliance with the order passed by the Supreme Court in the Prakash Singh case on July 3, 2018, that there must be minimum of three months left of service prior to the retirement for the appointment of DGP.
