During the hearing today, Advocate Nishant Kameshwarkar on behalf of one of the petitioners submitted that the tweets of the contemnor scandalize the dignity and authority of the Supreme Court.

On a fresh tweet by stand up Comedian Kunal Kamra allegedly passing derogatory comments at Chief Justice SA Bobde, the Attorney General KK Venugopal has given his consent to initiate criminal contempt proceedings against kamra.
