A frustrated litigant in Delhi’s Karkardooma Court broke court furniture and computers while shouting actor Sunny Deol’s famous dialogue from the film Damini, “Tareekh pe tareekh.”

The litigant, Rakesh, a resident of Shastri Park, had gone to the Karkardooma Court to find out when his case, pending since 2016, will be taken up for hearing.

He then tuned violent upset at the delay in justice and damaged computers and smashed the judge’s dais in the courtroom.

Police said Rakesh has a history of such excesses. In the past, he has alleged that random judges are corrupt by writing their names on the wall. The man has been arrested and a case has been registered against him under Section 186 (voluntarily obstructing any public servant in the discharge of his public functions),  Section 427 (mischief), and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).
