The Rajasthan High Court dismissed a PIL filed challenging the order passed by the District Collector, Banswara by which certain land of the village which was recorded as gochar land has been converted for the purposes of construction.

Rajasthan High Court dismisses a PIL filed by villagers of Garnia aggrieved by the orders passed by the Joint Secretary, Revenue Department recommending the conversion of 20 bighas land in their village as Sivay Chak and to compensate the same with 20 bighas of land of village Kurki, Tehsil Jaitaran.

The Madras High Court recently dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) for a direction to the District Collector and Revenue Divisional Officer of  Salem District to cancel the illegal patta in favour of private respondents for encroaching on the public road.

According to the petitioner Ellora Paper Mills Limited in Bombay High Court, after construction of the road, the factory is unable to procure raw material of writing paper, printing, kraft paper brought to the factory by bigger vehicles which are unable to pass through the new road under the bridge.
