Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur

Allahabad High Court has granted bail to former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur in the case, in which a woman and her friend had set themselves on fire outside the Supreme Court and succumbed to burn injuries later

The case of death of the rape victim, who attempted self-immolation outside the Supreme Court premises has been registered under Section 167, 195-A , 218, 504, 506 and 120-B of IPC, against MP Atul Rai and Amitabh Thakur in the Police station Hazratganj, lucknow.
