National Food Security Act 2013

The contention of the petitioner M/S. Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group is that due to closure of schools from 15 months midday meals cannot be provided. It is the duty of the State to ensure that children in the State get the food and nutritional content as per National Food Security Act, 2013.

Delhi High Court expressed confidence that the government will rise up its responsibility of providing sufficient food grain to a requisite number of beneficiaries.
