The Madhya Pradesh High Court has recently disposed a PIL whereby the petitioner was aggrieved by the proposal for construction of community hall in the Mahaneeman Stadium in Gram Panchayat Baghraji, Tehsil Kundam, District Jabalpur.

Gauhati High Court division bench while considering the PIL observed that since the Petitioner had submitted representations to the authorities ,directed the authorities to examine the same in view of the irregularities pointed out in the said reports.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court recently disposed of a PIL seeking direction to the Madhya Pradesh government to make regular appointments in Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur.

The Division Bench of Chief Justice Sudhanshu Dhuliya and Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak observed "A genuine and bonafide PIL must be encouraged by all Courts, but at the same time, a frivolous PIL, which is being filed for extraneous reasons, must be discouraged."

Madras High Court division bench dismissed the PIL filed by H. Rajaram seeking the quashing of the appointment of two Tamil Nadu Additional Advocates General while observing that there is no merit in the petition and it may have been better if the petition had not been pressed.

This petition was filed by Sudheer Bhai Rajput alleging that private respondents have constructed shops on land over which a high voltage line of 33kv is passing, which may pose health hazard to the residents of the area.

The current system demands a complete revamp, particularly in the fields of sports science and monitoring. While India is a superpower in cricket and has a track record of producing some of the world's brightest minds and corporate leaders, it has struggled in other areas.

The High Court held that the officers were directed to be present if the payments have not been made. The presence of two officers and the application of the Principal Finance Secretary to dispense with his presence itself demonstrates that all payments have not been made.
