The Petitioners claimed that the construction of Althaara and concrete crosses and converting the area as a pilgrimage centre, would deprive the tribals of their livelihood.

The Court has asked the State Government to dissolve the old inquiry committee and set up a new District level committee. The Court has directed the committee to investigate the people living illegally there and submit the report to the court by 29 December.
