The plea in the Supreme Court had sought the elderly and the disabled, who couldn't go for vaccinations against Covid-19, should be administered the vaccines at home instead of their risking catching an infection. The bench said conditions are not the same across India for such an order and rejected it.

The Youth Bar Association (YBA) of India has approached the Supreme Court with a suggestion that alternate and pre-litigation processes be made mandatory to avoid adding to the huge pendency already existing in courts across the country.
