Allahabad HC asks outgoing executive, Elder’s Committee of Bar Association to resolve dispute

The Court did not find the intervener application relevant in reference to the PIL filed for the election of the Bar to be held in 2021. Accordingly, the Court dismissed the Intervener Application.

The Allahabad High Court on Friday asked the outgoing executive and Elder’s Committee of the Bar Association to resolve the dispute amicably.

The Division Bench of Justices Munishwar Nath Bhandari and Piyush Agrawal passed this order while hearing a PIL filed by Santosh Kumar Mishra And 4 Others.

The Court did not find the intervener application relevant in reference to the PIL filed for the election of the Bar to be held in 2021. Accordingly, the Court dismissed the Intervener  Application.

The Court ordered that the application for modification be listed along with the main writ petition on November 15, 2021. In the meanwhile, the parties to the writ petition have been asked to resolve the issue crop up during the intervening period, which includes expulsion of few members. The direction has been given to have cordiality in the Bar.

Accordingly, the court said that both the parties would resolve the issue, if crept in, so that elections may proceed in cordial atmosphere and for that both parties may bring application before the Court for withdrawal of the complaints made against each other.

“(Order on petition) Put up on November 15, 2021. On the next date of hearing, Members of Elder’s Committee are requested to remain present before the Court. This order would be communicated to the Elder’s Committee by the counsel for the petitioner,”
