A drunk man blocked the official vehicle of Kerala High Court Chief Justice Justice S Manikumar near Goshree Bridge, Kochi early on Monday. A case has been registered by the police in this regard and arrested the accused.
Reports said the man then started abusing the Chief Justice, who was returning from the Nedumbassery airport.
As soon as the incident took place , the Chief Justice’s gunman registered a complaint with police and the accused was apprehended soon after.
Chief Justice S Manikumar, who hails from Tamil Nadu, was made a judge of the Madras High Court in 2006. He was appointed Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court in October 2019.
The attacker has been identified as Tijo of Udambanchola in Idukki district. The man is said to have abused the judge saying this was not Tamil Nadu, reports said.
