The Delhi court has also granted granted more time to the current Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for his reply to the CBI plea seeking his bail cancellation.

Tejashwi Yadav has been instructed to be present on 18th October before the Court for next date of hearing.

Prasad was granted bail in the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam in January 2019.

The Delhi court however had put a condition that he cannot leave the country without prior permission , also that he should not be tampering with the evidence.

In its chargesheet, CBI had alleged that BNR hotels of the Indian Railways, located in Puri and Ranchi, were first transferred to IRCTC for its operations, maintenance and upkeep, and were given on lease to Sujata Hotels Private Limited, which is based in Patna, Bihar.

The probe agency also claimed that the managing director of IRCTC PK Goyal, initiated a tender process which was rigged and manipulated. It also alleged that the conditions were tweaked to help the private party – Sujata Hotels.

After the CBI did the case, a money laundering case was registered by Enforcement Directorate against Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi(his wife) and son Tejaswi Yadav (Deputy CM of Bihar)

As per the FIR with CBI, Lalu Yadav, the then railway minister, had enter into criminal conspiracy with the owner of Sujata Hotels, Sarla Gupta, wife of his close associate Prem Chand Gupta, a Rashtriya Janata Dal MP in Rajya Sabha, and IRCTC officials for the undue pecuniary advantage to himself and others.
