Punjab and Haryana High Court disposes PIL seeking direction to remove illegal encroachments in Ambala

The Punjab and Haryana High Court disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed seeking directing to the respondents to remove all the illegal encroachments on streets, Banjar Kadeem Charand, Gair Mumkin Land, Shamshaan Bhumi Land, Guga Peer Maadi Land, Johar Land, River Land, Forest Land, Common Village Land and raising construction of houses etc. in village Munna Majra, Tehsil Naraingarh, District Ambala, Haryana.

The PIL has been filed by one Nirmal Singh Saini .

The Counsel for the petitioner submits that detailed representations, dated 06.09.2023 already submitted to respondents and he would be satisfied if the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and to decide the representation.

In view of the above and without even ascertaining the correctness of the averments made in the petition, the Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Ritu Bahri and Justice Nidhi Gupta deemed it appropriate to dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent to look into the matter and decide the representation 06.09.2023 and to take a final decision thereupon expeditiously by passing a speaking order.
