SC Collegium Recommends Two Advocates for Madhya Pradesh HC, Sends Back Three Names

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended   advocates Vishal Dhagat and Vishal Mishra be appointed as judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

While recommending their appointments, the Collegium has decided to remit back to the HC three other names—Divesh Jain, Sanjay Sarwate and Archana Kher. In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the three member Collegium—CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S A Bobde and N V Ramana, the SC said that the names of the five advocates had been presented by the Madhya Pradesh High Court last September 4 were considered by the Collegium at its meeting on April 1, 2019.  After having meetings with all five recommendees, the collegium had decided to recommend two names while sending back three to the HC.
