The Law Commission of India has issued a public notice (see below), asking for suggestions from the public on the issue of uniform civil code.

The notice asks for suggestions for the practices of nikah halala, polygamy, muta marriage and misiyar marriage.

Law commission clearly states that it will not consider the suggestions related to triple talaq as the apex court has already pronounced the judgment and the bill is pending in Parliament.

The law commission has already stated that they will call the people who have given in their suggestions.
