All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVIII will now be held on December 10: Bar Council of India

As per a notification issued by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVIII will now be held on December 10, instead of December 3.

As per the same notification, the last date to register for the exam has also been extended till November 16.

The notification to the effect said that the rescheduling was done to avoid a clash with the Common Law Admission Test Post-Graduate admissions (CLAT PG) exam and exams for entering the Madhya Pradesh judicial services.

The notification read that multiple communications were received from concerned candidates expressing the challenges this overlap presents.

The notification said that understanding the significance of the All India Bar Exam, CLAT PG and MP State Judicial PT, the BCI has committed to provide candidates with a fair opportunity to excel in these examinations.

The AIBE XVIII was scheduled to take place on October 29 when the notification was first released in August 2023.

However it has been postponed four times for various reasons.
