Amid coronavirus fear, Bombay HC to hear urgent matters via video conferencing

As the number of coronavirus cases in the country is soaring, the Bombay High Court after restricting its functioning, decided to hear urgent cases via video conferencing.

Justice AK Menon will be taking up the urgent matters via video conferencing on all working days between 1 and 2 pm every day.

The court in its circular stated that lawyers may mention urgent matters through the unit installed in the Bombay High Court Room Number 16-B or may join video conference room remotely from their offices or homes using the link and PIN to be shared them on the valid email ID provided by them.

To access the service, a software “Vidyo” has to be installed on the computer/phone.

Earlier, the court and its benches at Nagpur, Aurangabad and Goa have been ordered to work for only two hours a day from Tuesday in view of the pandemic.
