The wave was not expected. Or maybe it was. Uttar Pradesh has been saffronised. In the latest update, as of six minutes to midday, the BJP is officially leading in 292 seats, racing towards a stupendous 303, BSP leading in 18, Congress in 12 and the Samajwadi party in 59. Hence the SP-Congress alliance would be leading in just 81 seats.

Congress leading in 73, AAP in 22, SAD in 15.

Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal is ahead of AAP’s Bhagwant Mann by over 10,000 plus votes.
