Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare S.P. Singh Baghel on Monday said that the government has made this a key objective to ensure the availability of quality medicines at affordable prices for the citizens of the country.
Delivering the keynote address at the Swadesh Conclave 2023, the Union Minister said that India will be the number one economy in the world by 2047.
He said the impending lunar landing of Chandrayaan-3 will mark a pioneering milestone, positioning India as the first country to land on the lunar south pole and fourth to achieve a soft landing on the Moon.
Highlighting significant national achievements, Baghel underscored the paramount importance of the Ayushman card scheme, which reigned supreme among various developmental initiatives.
He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s humble background had given him the encouragement and commitment to start welfare programmes for the underprivileged.
As per the Minister, the Ayushman Yojana had greatly impacted 45 crore individuals, transcending it to become the most pivotal scheme of the century.
Reflecting on the healthcare sector, he noted that transformation was evident as the country has advanced from having merely seven AIIMS hospitals before 2014 to a robust count of 22 at present. In a resolute stance, Baghel disclosed the government’s ambition to eliminate Tuberculosis from India by 2025.
The Minister urged the influencers to talk about the Jan Aushadhi Yojana at least once a day and said that all influencers were passionate.
The fourth edition of Swadesh Conclave, a national event which brought together influential personalities from diverse fields to engage in discussions and promote initiatives aimed at shaping the future of India, was held at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan today.
Themed ‘Influential India,’ Swadesh Conclave 2023 promised deliberations on new decisions, new pledges and a new vision for the country by industry experts, thought leaders and distinguished delegates.
The one-day event witnessed a congregation of 100 influencers from various fields such as food blogging, financial planning and travel.
