The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday proposed the appointment of Justice K. Vinod Chandran as Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.

The Collegium had, in December last year, recommended Justice Chandran to be appointed as Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court. The recommendation was recalled today.

As per the notification issued by the Collegium, it took the decision in order to fill up the post of Chief Justice of Patna High Court, which fell vacant after the elevation of Justice Sanjay Karol, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, to the Supreme Court.
